WELCOME to BUZZYLIVES ☕️🐝💕
I’m the creator of an ‘Aberdeen Coffee Map’ #Aberdeencoffeemap (Visitabdn.com) and an ‘Aberdeenshire Coffee map’ and Maybe North East 250 Coffee Trail. And maybe even an ‘Aberdeen Coffee Festival’ in 2019!! ☕️ I am a student journalist, and coffee blogger – showcasing the hidden gems 💎 and also the great food & fab entertainment provided in local cafes. While I was researching, I found that there is not a City Coffee Map further North than Edinburgh. Most big cities worldwide have a ‘Coffee Map’- London, Paris, Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Tel Aviv, Bordeaux etc etc. And now ABERDEEN! 😊
I❤️finding somewhere BUZZY in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. BUZZY means good coffee & food, friendly atmosphere & customer service, and a generally happy, feel good venue.
This is my blog space for chats about good BUZZY places for going ‘out for coffee’ and ‘eating out’ in the area. The opening of around 20 Coffee ‘Roasterys’ has created new gourmet coffee shops, Aberdeen now has ‘The Craftsman’ and ‘Figment’ roasting their own fresh, tasty coffee on their premises. A growing phenomenon across Scotland, many claim this to be ‘Third Wave Coffee’- all about the taste. ‘Fourth Wave Coffee’ is described as having the tasty fresh coffee paired with Michelin/Rosette chef level food.
And, every morning, I like to start with a cappuccino ☕️and occasionally a bacon/egg roll or croissant. I try as many coffee shops as possible. These can be mostly good or, very occasionally, bad experiences and sometimes a complete waste of money.
BUT This page will just chat about the ‘good’ ‘buzzy’ ‘happy feel good’ places, where you leave with a spring in your step and ❤️ Aberdeen. In particular- there’s plenty independent coffee shops in the city centre and surrounding Aberdeenshire countryside. I have built up a database! Every independent cafe has a FEATURE inherent to it- ‘great coffee’ ‘fantastic food’ ‘warm atmosphere’ ‘nice homemade cakes’ open mic night’ ‘boardgames’ ‘kids corner’ ‘WiFi’ ‘Environment friendly’etc. 😊 NATIONAL brand coffee shops too! -Costa, Starbucks etc – have their place, I love a Costa Pumpkin Caramel latte!
These are just some of my RECENT places. Only SOME are on the database for the map/s (a mix of national and independents): see MENUS
